Kimbo Slice’s MMA Contract Expires
November 9th, 2008
So just a few weeks after Kimbo Slice’s last fight with the organization, EliteXC has officially gone bankrupt. They were having money trouble for a long time which is real common with these types of companies.
This means your boy Kimbo Slice is now a free agent. Unfortunately he went out on a low note, but there’s no denying he’s still a draw, so it’s a safe bet that he’ll get picked up by some other MMA company.
If not, do you think Kimbo will back to street fights?

Personal I hope he gets another change to fight in the ring. If you look at the last fight he made a rookie mistake by rushing in and I believe it’s a mistake he won’t make again, also he didn’t train to fight that fighter(its was a last minute fight). He stills a new fighter as far as fighting people in the ring. He has power; speed and once he get the rest of his technique down he’s going to be hard to beat

Where is Kimbo now?
He’s got such an interesting and magnetic personality — I hope to see him again, whether in street fighting, in the WWE, or on Youtube. And from a self-interested promoter’s perspective, it doesn’t make sense to keep him on the sidelines: Even if he’s a rookie fighter (and makes rookie mistakes), his personality alone makes him so marketable that he deserves to be in the ring.

I would love to see Fedor and Kimbo get down. We can see if Kimbo can get down with the best. It would be a make or break deal for Kimbo. Let him train for 6 mos. If Kimbo wins he would go from the bottom (where he is now) to the top of the fight chain. If he loses he would be in the same position he is now but with six figures in his pocket. From then he could be a promoter. I really think some people should get together and make this happen. I know every thinks I’m crazy for saying this but so is Kimbo and I know he is up for it.
