Never has there been a guy made famous by so many rumors. Kimbo’s been called everything from a convict to a bodyguard to a full time street fighter. An interview appeared years ago where Kimbo supposedly admitted to learning to fight while in prison…except the interview was completely fake. It’s hard to tell what’s true at this point, but here’s some things we do know.

• Kimbo’s real name is Kevin Ferguson.
• Kimbo is the cousin of 2004 Olympic Judo contender Rhadi Ferguson. In July 2005, Rhadi said on the NHBGear.com forums that “He doesn’t train that much, but he can fight.”
• Kimbo works as a bodyguard for In the VIP productions, a porn company.
• Kimbo is 6′2″ and usually weighs around 250 lbs.
• Kimbo has six kids: three boys and three girls.
• Kimbo made MMA debut on June 23rd at the Boardwalk Hall in New Jersey against boxer Ray Mercer, winning by submission in round 1.
• Kimbo likes to rap and may be recording an album soon.
• Kimbo was NOT in prison.
• Since his premiere MMA match, Kimbo has said he will participate in no more streetfights, calling them “unfair” to his untrained competitors.
• Kimbo underwent a tryout for a position on the Miami Dolphins.
• Kimbo’s next MMA match is reported to be against Tank Abbott on September 14th, 2007.
